Arizona Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired(ACBVI)

Founded in 1947, the Arizona Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired is Arizona's oldest community-based rehabilitation organisation, providing vision rehabilitation, assistive technology training, orientation and mobility instruction, and employment services to adults who are blind, visually impaired, or DeafBlind. ACBVI operates the only non-residential, community-based programme for people with combined vision and hearing loss of its kind nationally.

Founded in 1947, ACBVI is Arizona's oldest community-based organisation dedicated to rehabilitation and independence for adults who are blind, visually impaired, DeafBlind, or living with combined vision and hearing loss. The Phoenix-based nonprofit offers a uniquely comprehensive continuum of services across rehabilitation, employment, and adaptive recreation.

ACBVI provides vision rehabilitation therapy, assistive technology training, orientation and mobility instruction, low-vision evaluation, employment placement and supported employment, and adaptive outdoor recreation including skiing, kayaking, and rock climbing. The centre also offers nutritional services, transportation access support, and behavioural health wraparound services.
