The Blind Service Association (BSA) has served the Chicago area since 1924, providing direct services to people who are blind or have low vision. Its 8,000-square-foot facility at 17 N. State Street in Chicago's Loop includes a fully equipped technology lab, adaptive kitchen, and accessible event spaces.
What They Do
BSA offers free one-to-one reading and audio recording services, Braille tutoring, assistive technology training, employment programmes, peer-led support groups, scholarships, senior programmes for those 50 and older, youth initiatives, and an annual Vision Expo. Monthly social and networking events create community among Chicagoans with vision loss.
