The Greater Los Angeles Agency on Deafness, Inc. (GLAD) was established in 1969 as a volunteer organisation and has grown into one of the most comprehensive Deaf-led service and advocacy agencies on the West Coast. GLAD's mission is to ensure the Deaf, hard of hearing, DeafBlind, and deaf-disabled community has equal access to the same opportunities afforded to hearing individuals.

GLAD provides a wide range of services including legal advocacy, individual counselling, employment support, interpreter and communication assistance referrals, and community education. The organisation works to dismantle communication barriers in healthcare, legal, employment, and everyday community settings across Southern California.
