Inclusion Alberta
Inclusion Alberta is a family-based, non-profit provincial federation advocating for children and adults with intellectual disabilities and their families since 1955. Based in Edmonton, it connects local member associations across Alberta and amplifies the voices of people with intellectual disabilities in provincial policy.

Founded in 1955, Inclusion Alberta (originally the Alberta Association for Community Living) is headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta. It operates as a federation of local member associations united by a shared commitment to genuine community inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities across the province.
What They Do
Inclusion Alberta provides family support and individual planning resources, runs self-advocacy leadership programmes, advocates for inclusive education and community living at the Legislature, and builds the capacity of local associations to deliver person-centred supports. It hosts the annual Celebrate Ability conference and publishes inclusive practice resources for families and service providers.
