Founded in 1948 by Group Captain Leonard Cheshire VC, Leonard Cheshire has grown into one of the UK's largest disability charities. It operates across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, providing specialist support for disabled people with complex care needs including physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, and learning disabilities. The charity also runs extensive international programmes in over 50 countries.
