Missouri Developmental Disabilities Council(MODD)
A federally funded, consumer-driven council of 25 members appointed by the Governor to assist individuals, families, and communities to include all people with developmental disabilities in every aspect of Missouri life. The council funds advocacy projects, supports self-determination, and drives systemic change across the state.

The Missouri Developmental Disabilities Council (MODD) is a federally funded planning and advisory body under the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, headquartered in Jefferson City. The 25-member council is consumer-driven, meaning people with developmental disabilities and their family members form the majority of its membership.
What They Do
MODD awards grants to community organisations and self-advocacy groups, develops and implements a five-year state plan, produces policy research, and leads public awareness campaigns to advance inclusion and equity. The Council supports initiatives in employment, education, housing, health, and community participation.
Who They Serve
Missourians with developmental disabilities across all ages, their families and caregivers, and the nonprofits, schools, and government agencies working to advance inclusion statewide.
