About this resource

About

64 Ounce Games was founded by Richard and Emily Gibbs, special education teachers committed to enabling blind students and family members to play popular board games alongside sighted peers using the same physical set. Rather than publishing separate "accessible editions," the company creates add-on kits that adapt existing retail games.

What It Does

Each kit is tailored to the specific title it accompanies, addressing whatever barriers that game presents. Components can include 3D-printed braille-embossed dice, adhesive braille card labels (with sleeves to avoid permanent modification), tactile board overlays, and QR codes linking to a reader app for text-heavy cards—so players can view their hand privately without sighted assistance.

Who It Helps

Blind and low vision players who want to enjoy popular mainstream board games alongside sighted friends and family without purchasing a separate accessible edition. Mixed households and inclusive classrooms where players have varied levels of vision are the primary audience.
