About this resource

About

AbleData is funded by the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR), part of the US Administration for Community Living. Established as the national gold-standard AT product database, AbleData provides objective and comprehensive product information across every disability category and product type without commercial bias.

What It Does

Users can search by product category, disability type, activity limitation, or manufacturer name to find detailed descriptions, specifications, and manufacturer contact information for AT products — ranging from power wheelchairs, pressure-relief cushions, and exoskeletons to smart home environmental controls and adaptive vehicle equipment. Listings are maintained and updated by a specialist editorial team.

Who It Helps

People with any type of disability, their families and caregivers, occupational and physical therapists, rehabilitation engineers, and case managers who need comprehensive, unbiased information on assistive technology products across all categories.
