About
Founded in 1997 and based in Colorado Springs, AbleLink Smart Living Technologies is a pioneer in cognitive support technology backed by more than two decades of federally funded research. Every product is developed through a person-centred design process with direct input from people with cognitive disabilities and their support networks.
What It Does
AbleLink offers a suite of apps and software: the WayFinder GPS travel app guides users with cognitive disabilities through public transit and ride-sharing independently; the SMART Travel Training curriculum teaches travel skills to individuals and their support staff; step-by-step visual prompt apps break daily tasks into guided sequences; simplified desktop software provides an accessible computer interface; and accessible cloud-based survey tools enable self-reporting for support organisations.
Who It Helps
People with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, and age-related cognitive decline. Used by individuals, families, disability service organisations, schools, and vocational rehabilitation programmes.
