About this resource

About

Access Gallery has been providing arts opportunities to people with disabilities in Colorado since 1978, originally founded as the Colorado affiliate of Very Special Arts. Based in Denver, it has evolved into a fully independent nonprofit gallery and studio that foregrounds disability arts in the regional cultural scene.

What It Does

Access Gallery offers studio art classes, professional development, access to art supplies, and gallery exhibition opportunities for artists with disabilities. The gallery space is free and open to the public, showing work by Access Gallery artists alongside broader community exhibitions. The organisation actively advocates for disability inclusion in Colorado's mainstream arts sector.

Who It Helps

Access Gallery serves adults and youth with all types of disabilities in the Denver metropolitan area and across Colorado. Free public access to the gallery ensures that disability arts is visible to the broader community.
