About this resource

About

AccessAble, formerly known as DisabledGo, has been gathering first-hand venue accessibility data for over two decades and operates as the definitive accessibility guide across the UK and Ireland. Its model is built on in-person surveyor visits rather than self-reporting: trained surveyors visit each venue to collect precise measurements, photographs, and details across more than 1,000 accessibility indicators.

What It Does

Users search by postcode or town to find detailed access guides for restaurants, pubs, cinemas, parks, NHS trusts, universities, railway stations, and shopping centres. Guides include measurements, photographs, and factual descriptions covering entrances, lifts, accessible toilets, hearing loops, accessible parking, and BSL-trained staff. Surveyors contact 75,000 venues annually to refresh data and revisit any location that reports changes. A mobile app is available for on-the-go access.

Who It Helps

AccessAble helps wheelchair users, people with visual or hearing impairments, people with hidden disabilities, older adults, and anyone with an access need who wants verified, measured facts—not self-reported claims—before visiting a venue in the UK or Ireland.
