About this resource

About

Accessaloo was developed by the team at Disabled Accessible Travel and launched in 2019 to address one of the most persistent practical barriers in accessible travel: finding a suitable toilet away from home. The free app covers freely accessible facilities, key-operated toilets, and Changing Places locations all in one place, available on iOS and Android.

What It Does

While out and about, users open the app to see a map of nearby accessible toilets with real user-submitted reviews, star ratings, and photographs. Each entry includes notes about turning space, grab rails, step-free access, and whether a RADAR key is required, so travelers can make an informed decision before committing to a visit.

Who It Helps

Accessaloo is invaluable for wheelchair users, people with bowel or bladder conditions including colostomies, and anyone who requires an accessible toilet while travelling. It is particularly helpful for planning day trips, city visits, and longer travel across Europe.
