About this resource

About

Arts & Disability Ireland (ADI) is the national body in the Republic of Ireland working at the intersection of arts and disability. A founding partner of the Arts Council of Ireland, ADI provides strategic leadership, practical support, and advocacy to ensure disabled people can participate fully in the arts as creators, performers, and audiences.

What It Does

ADI administers the Arts and Disability Connect funding scheme, which supports disabled artists to develop their practice and build partnerships with arts organisations. It provides advocacy, research, and training on accessibility and inclusion for the wider arts sector. ADI programmes accessible performances — including relaxed, audio described, and Irish Sign Language interpreted events — and monitors arts policy implementation for disability inclusion nationwide.

Who It Helps

People with all types of disabilities across the Republic of Ireland who engage with the arts as artists, performers, or audiences. Arts organisations wishing to improve their accessibility and inclusion practice also benefit from ADI's training, consultancy, and grant programmes.
