About this resource

About

Operated by MarvelSoft Enterprises under the Blind in Mind brand, the Braille Superstore has long served the blind and low-vision community with a carefully curated selection of games manufactured specifically for inclusive play. Every game in their board and card game catalogue is designed so that blind and sighted players can compete at the same table on equal terms from the moment the box is opened.

What It Does

The store stocks tactile chess sets with raised and recessed squares that keep pieces in place, Braille playing card decks, tactile Scrabble with Braille tiles, backgammon with tactile markings, Parcheesi with distinctively shaped coloured pieces, dominoes with raised dots, and Braille dice. Their card game section includes traditional and specialty decks with Braille markings alongside the printed numerals and suits.

Who It Helps

Blind and low-vision gamers of all ages who want to play classic board and card games independently alongside sighted family members and friends, without needing a helper to read the board or cards aloud.
