About this resource

About

Cognitopia is an Oregon-based assistive technology company founded by Dr Tom Keating, Ph.D., with the mission that every person with a cognitive disability deserves tools that support self-determination. The platform emphasises person-centred design, enabling users to direct their own goals and routines rather than being directed by others.

What It Does

The platform includes three integrated applications: Goal Guide for personalised goal-setting and progress sharing, MyLife ePortfolio for IEP self-direction and transition planning, and ScanDo for quick access to video-modelled task analyses. Supporters — educators, caregivers, and therapists — can view dashboards and coordinate support across the team.

Who It Helps

Students and adults with autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injury, or learning disabilities; older adults experiencing cognitive decline due to stroke or dementia; and the educators, therapists, and families who support them.
