About this resource

About

CoughDrop was built on the principle that communication boards should follow the user, not the device. All boards, preferences, and language history are stored in the cloud, so if a device is lost or replaced the communicator's full system is never lost. It is available as a $9/month subscription or a one-time $295 lifetime licence.

What It Does

CoughDrop provides starter boards for different communication levels, a rich symbol set supplemented with personal photos and recorded audio, and a dedicated Modeling Mode for supporters to demonstrate language in real time. Built-in data tracking generates detailed reports on language growth and usage patterns, while a secure messaging tool connects the full communication team. The app runs natively on iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, Chromebook, and the web browser with a consistent interface across all.

Who It Helps

Designed for people with autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, Angelman syndrome, Rett syndrome, and anyone with complex communication needs. The cross-platform, cloud-first design is especially useful in school environments where multiple supporters and devices are involved.
