About this resource

About

Envision AI is developed by Envision Technologies and has been recognised as a leading accessibility app. It is used in over 150 countries and supports more than 60 languages, making it one of the most internationally accessible visual AI tools available. Envision also manufactures Envision Glasses, a dedicated wearable for hands-free use.

What It Does

The app uses the smartphone camera and advanced AI to read text from any surface, provide rich scene descriptions, detect colours, recognise faces and announce them, identify everyday objects and products via barcode, and export scanned documents. A batch scanning mode handles multi-page documents, and the Ally remote assistance feature connects users with a trusted helper via secure video call. The app works fully offline for core functions.

Who It Helps

Envision AI is built for blind and low-vision users seeking greater independence in reading, identification, and environmental awareness — at home, at work, in shops, or while travelling. Its multi-language support makes it especially valuable for users in non-English-speaking regions.
