About this resource

About

Gateway Arts is an internationally acclaimed studio art center, store, and gallery in Brookline, Massachusetts, operated by Vinfen, that has supported adult artists with diverse disabilities for nearly 50 years. A 2023 expansion doubled the ground-floor footprint, adding more wheelchair-accessible artist workspaces and a larger public gallery.

What It Does

Between 75 and 100 adult artists work each week across drawing, painting, collage, cartooning, ceramics, fiber art, jewelry making, and mixed media. Gateway Arts provides professional representation, exhibition opportunities, and a retail store, with artists earning a 50% commission on all artwork sales.

Who It Helps
