About this resource

About

Get Yourself Active is a programme run by Disability Rights UK, the UK's leading national user-led pan-disability charity, with funding from Sport England. Established in 2015, the programme works to increase disabled people's participation in sport and physical activity by removing informational and structural barriers.

What It Does

The website provides free guides and video collections covering seated exercise, yoga, cardio, team sports, and swimming, with content created specifically for and with disabled people. The programme also builds capacity in Disabled People's Organisations to promote local physical activity and works with the sports sector to embed co-production and inclusive practice.

Who It Helps

Get Yourself Active serves disabled people of all types across the UK who want accessible ways to get more active, as well as DPOs, social care workers, and sports organisations working to make physical activity more inclusive.
