About this resource

About

GlassOuse is an award-winning assistive technology designed for individuals with limited or no hand function. The lightweight frame is worn like a pair of glasses and connects to devices via Bluetooth 4.0 with a 150-hour battery life, requiring no software installation. It is compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, iPadOS, Android, and ChromeOS.

What It Does

A built-in 9-axis gyroscope translates head movements into precise cursor control. Users click via an interchangeable bite switch, sip-puff switch, or built-in dwell (hover-to-click) software. The GlassOuse PRO extends this to serve as a joystick and external switch interface for powered wheelchairs and AAC devices, enabling users to control their chair and communication device from a single worn unit.

Who It Helps

People with ALS, spinal cord injury, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, stroke, or multiple sclerosis who need a completely hands-free method for computer and device control, in clinical, home, and educational settings.
