About this resource

About

Goally was designed as an accessible, caregiver-configurable alternative to general-purpose tablets for people with special needs. The device and app ecosystem combines visual scheduling, first-then boards, video-modelled task guides, and reward tokens in a focused environment with no games, social media, or other distractions. It is widely used in therapeutic settings and by families at home.

What It Does

Caregivers build custom visual routines — morning, school, bedtime, community — using photos, icons, and videos, which the child or adult follows step by step with audio prompts and countdown timers. A Co-Pilot app lets parents monitor progress remotely and send real-time encouragement. A subscription unlocks the full app library on any iOS or Android device; a dedicated Goally tablet with pre-configured content is also available for purchase.

Who It Helps

Goally supports children and adults with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, ADHD, Down syndrome, and other conditions that benefit from visual structure and routine support. It is especially valued by families whose members need a less distracting, purpose-built alternative to general-purpose devices.
