About this resource

About

iAccess Life was co-founded by Brandon Winfield, a wheelchair user since age fourteen following a motocross accident, who channelled his frustration at an inaccessible world into a practical community rating tool. Launched in 2019, the app has grown to thousands of active users contributing mobility accessibility data across all 50 US states and more than 30 countries.

What It Does

Users rate a location's accessible parking, entrance, restrooms, and interior layout, and specify the type of mobility equipment they use so future readers can judge whether a review applies to their own situation. Ratings span everyday local spots—cafés, banks, pharmacies—as well as hotels, attractions, and travel destinations, making the app useful for daily life and trip planning alike.

Who It Helps

iAccess Life primarily serves wheelchair users, power-chair users, and people who use mobility aids, giving them peer-reviewed, equipment-specific accessibility information before they visit a location at home or while travelling.
