About this resource

About

InnoCaption is certified by the FCC as an Internet Protocol Captioned Telephone Service (IP CTS) provider, meaning the call captioning service is completely free for eligible U.S. residents with hearing loss. Its patented One Number System links a user existing phone number to the captioning service without requiring a new number.

What It Does

The app displays real-time captions of a caller voice on screen during phone calls. Users can switch between automated AI captions and live stenographer captions depending on the situation, and call forwarding from an existing number is supported. InnoCaption also provides captioned voicemail and is available on iOS, Android, and the web.

Who It Helps

InnoCaption serves deaf and hard-of-hearing adults in the United States who need accessible telephone communication. No doctor note is required — users self-certify their hearing loss during registration.
