About this resource

About

Founded in 2018, Knights of the Braille exists to ensure that blindness and visual impairment are never barriers to enjoying tabletop roleplaying games. The community centres the lived experience of BVI players while warmly welcoming sighted allies who want to understand and support accessible TTRPG play.

What It Does

The Knights of the Braille website maintains a resource hub covering accessible dice solutions — Braille dice, large-print dice, and screen-reader-friendly dice-rolling apps (some free) — along with guidance on dungeon mapping for blind players using Braille slates, styluses, and embossers. A curated list of tabletop games accessible to screen-reader users is also maintained. A community Discord server connects members for discussion, advice, and collaborative play.

Who It Helps

Blind and visually impaired tabletop roleplaying game players seeking community, practical guidance on accessible tools, and a welcoming space to engage fully with the TTRPG hobby. Sighted GMs and players who want to include BVI participants are also well served.
