About this resource

About

MyVisualRoutine was developed by a team of parents, caregivers, and therapists motivated by the high cost and complexity of existing visual scheduling tools. The app prioritises accessibility and privacy: no account is needed, no data leaves the device, and the core functionality is available without a subscription.

What It Does

The app provides a library of hand-drawn, child-friendly visual activity cards across hygiene, meals, bedtime, school, play, chores, and transition categories. Caregivers build daily schedules by dragging cards into sequence, then hand the device to the child for independent use. Large touch targets and a mascot guide reduce barriers for young or non-verbal users.

Who It Helps

Children with autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, non-verbal communication profiles, and other developmental differences who benefit from visual structure; parents, occupational therapists, and special education teachers who create, manage, and update schedules.
