About
The New England Healing Sports Association (NEHSA) is a nonprofit organisation based at Mount Sunapee Resort in Newbury, New Hampshire. Its lodge at the resort serves as home base for the winter adaptive skiing and snowboarding programme, running throughout the ski season.
What It Does
NEHSA provides instruction in sit-down skiing, stand-up skiing, and snowboarding, with participants sometimes trying more than one discipline during the same visit. Trained staff and volunteers work one-on-one with each participant, using adaptive equipment suited to a wide range of mobility and sensory needs. Paddlesports and additional outdoor activities are offered in warmer months.
Who It Helps
Children and adults with physical, cognitive, and sensory disabilities. NEHSA welcomes individuals of all experience levels and abilities, with an emphasis on inclusive participation and therapeutic benefit.
