About this resource

About

Paradox Sports was founded in 2007 by adaptive climbing pioneers who believed that the vertical world should be accessible to everyone. Based in Boulder, Colorado, Paradox has built a community of adaptive climbers and developed many of the techniques and adaptive equipment setups now used worldwide in para-climbing.

What It Does

Paradox runs adaptive climbing clinics, guided outdoor climbing trips, and mentorship programmes pairing experienced adaptive climbers with newcomers. The organisation also works with the climbing industry to develop new adaptive gear and techniques, and competes at the USA Climbing adaptive division. Events take place at indoor climbing gyms and outdoor crags across the US.

Who It Helps

People with upper limb differences, lower limb differences, spinal cord injuries, visual impairments, and other physical disabilities who want to explore rock climbing. No prior climbing experience required — all ability levels are welcome.
