About this resource

About

Project Art Works is an artist-led organisation based in Hastings, East Sussex, shortlisted for the Turner Prize 2021. The collective of neurodiverse artists and activists collaborates with people who have complex needs — including profound and multiple learning disabilities — along with their families, carers, and health and social care agencies to promote inclusion in civic and cultural life.

What It Does

Project Art Works delivers individual and group art workshops, professional development for carers and arts practitioners, and public advocacy for people with complex needs. The organisation also develops resources and guidance for families and support workers seeking to integrate creative practice into daily care, and shares films, journals, and research outputs freely on its website.

Who It Helps
