About this resource

About

Proloquo2Go has been empowering non-speaking children and adults since 2009, making professional-grade AAC accessible on the iPhone and iPad for the first time. Today it is the world's most popular AAC app, recommended by speech-language pathologists and used by hundreds of thousands of people across home, school, and clinical settings.

What It Does

The app provides 23 pre-programmed grid layouts ranging from 9 to 144 buttons to suit a wide range of motor and visual abilities. Its library of SymbolStix symbols, over 100 Acapela Neural and Apple voices, and compatibility with switches, keyguards, and head tracking make it adaptable to complex access needs. Caregivers and SLPs can customise vocabulary, button layouts, colours, and personal photos.

Who It Helps

Proloquo2Go is used across all age groups by individuals with autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, Angelman syndrome, ALS, and any condition that limits or prevents functional speech. It is widely deployed in school, therapy, and home settings as a primary communication system.
