About this resource

About

Developed by AssistiveWare and available since 2009, Proloquo2Go has become a clinical gold standard for symbol-based AAC on iOS. The app ships with more than 100 voices, including bilingual and children's voices, and is backed by extensive training resources for families and speech-language pathologists.

What It Does

Users build sentences by selecting symbols from grids ranging from 9 to 144 buttons per page, with the app speaking the output aloud. Full switch scanning, Select on Release, and Apple VoiceOver integration make it accessible for users with significant motor and vision differences. Vocabulary can be remote-managed by SLPs and caregivers through a companion web dashboard.

Who It Helps

Non-speaking children and adults with autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, apraxia of speech, and aphasia. Clinicians, educators, and families are supported through free onboarding resources, a community forum, and a certified training programme.
