About this resource

About

The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation's Paralysis Resource Center (PRC) is a federally funded national resource centre that has served people living with paralysis since 1999. It operates a free helpline and produces comprehensive guides covering every aspect of life after paralysis.

What It Does

The PRC connects individuals with free information specialists (1-800-539-7309) who answer questions about assistive technology, insurance, medical care, legal rights, and community resources. The 2024 Paralysis Resource Guide (442 pages, 6th edition) includes dedicated chapters on power and manual wheelchairs, seating and positioning, smart home and environmental control technology, vehicle modifications, and funding strategies. The guide is available free by mail, as a PDF download, and in Spanish.

Who It Helps
