About this resource

About

RS Games (rsgames.org) has been developing online board, card, and dice games accessible to the blind and visually impaired community since 2009. The platform was built from the ground up with screen-reader compatibility as the primary design principle, with JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver all supported natively.

What It Does

The platform hosts over 20 games including Monopoly, Uno, Blackjack, Yahtzee, Farkle, and Scrabble. A dedicated Windows and Mac client outputs directly to screen readers with sound effects; iOS and browser-based play are also available. Free accounts allow players to join public games or create private sessions. Built-in voice and text chat lets players socialise while playing.

Who It Helps

Blind and visually impaired players who want free, multiplayer online versions of classic board and card games; anyone who wants to game socially with blind or visually impaired friends without requiring specialised physical equipment.
