About this resource

About

Founded by a Snowbird ski instructor, Wasatch Adaptive Sports has grown from a single adaptive ski programme into an organisation offering year-round recreation across 39 sites in Salt Lake, Utah, Wasatch, Summit, and Tooele Counties. Its strong scholarship model reflects a core belief that adaptive recreation must be accessible to everyone.

What It Does

WAS delivers private instruction in skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, cycling, mountain biking, paddleboarding, and kayaking, with year-round programming for children, adults, and veterans. Winter instruction takes place at Snowbird and other Wasatch Front resorts.

Who It Helps

Children, adults, and veterans in the greater Salt Lake City area with physical, cognitive, or other adaptive needs; the scholarship programme ensures that cost is not a barrier to participation.
