About this resource

About

WheelPower is the UK's national charity for wheelchair sport, headquartered at Stoke Mandeville Stadium in Aylesbury — the birthplace of the Paralympic Movement. The organisation launched its online yoga programme during the COVID-19 pandemic and has continued it as a free, inclusive fitness resource for wheelchair users.

What It Does

Weekly Zoom classes are led by Nina Boswell Brown of Sitting Fit Yoga, guiding participants through gentle warm-ups, adaptive yoga poses, breathwork, and relaxation designed specifically for wheelchair users. Recorded sessions are available in WheelPower's online activity library, alongside other virtual classes including box-fit and tai chi.

Who It Helps

Designed for wheelchair users of all experience levels, including complete beginners, classes are free to attend and open to participants across the UK, making regular adaptive wellness accessible regardless of location or income.
