Alliance on Disability in Liberia
The Alliance on Disability in Liberia is a national network of local and international organisations, DPOs, and government actors united to advance the UNCRPD and its implementation in Liberia. It harnesses collective action to ensure persons with disabilities are included in all aspects of Liberian public life on an equal basis with others.
About
The Alliance on Disability in Liberia was established as a coordinating network to align the efforts of diverse actors working on disability inclusion in Liberia. Members include domestic disabled people's organisations, international NGOs, and government institutions, all committed to the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD).
What They Do
The Alliance builds synergies between member organisations, coordinates joint advocacy positions, and presses government to ratify and implement international disability frameworks. It works to amplify DPO voices in national policy processes, monitors disability rights conditions, and promotes evidence-based advocacy for legislative and social change in Liberia.
Who They Serve
Persons with all types of disabilities across Liberia's 15 counties, reached through the Alliance's member organisations and local DPO partners.
