Fédération APAJH(APAJH)
APAJH (Association Pour Adultes et Jeunes Handicapés) is France's largest cross-disability federation, founded in 1962 and operating 93 member associations and more than 700 facilities nationwide for people of all disability types. It combines direct service provision with national advocacy for inclusive education, employment, and accessible public services.
About
Fédération APAJH was founded in 1962 and recognised for public utility in 1974, making it one of the oldest and largest disability organisations in France. With 93 member associations and more than 700 facilities and services — including residential, day, and outpatient settings — it operates across all regions of metropolitan France and overseas territories.
What They Do
APAJH manages direct services for people with disabilities and simultaneously campaigns nationally for disability rights. It advocates within the CNCPH (National Consultative Council for Disabled Persons), promotes inclusive schooling and employment, and cooperates with the European Disability Forum on cross-border disability policy.
Who They Serve
APAJH supports people with all types of disabilities — motor, sensory, intellectual, psychiatric, autism, and polyhandicap — across all ages in France, with particular emphasis on adults requiring long-term support and young people transitioning into adulthood.
