About

APF France Handicap was born in 1933 from the initiative of four young people with poliomyelitis who wanted to speak for themselves. Now France's most prominent disability organisation, it is led by a board composed predominantly of people with disabilities and operates throughout metropolitan France and Guadeloupe.

The organisation provides direct support services through its 575 local structures, including residential and day establishments, personal assistance schemes, employment services, and adapted enterprises. Simultaneously, APF France Handicap advocates for policy reforms in accessibility, inclusive education, healthcare, and employment rights.
