Centre for Free and Solidary Integration of Argentina(CILSA)
Founded in 1966 in Santa Fe, CILSA is one of Argentina's oldest disability-focused NGOs. It delivers orthopedic equipment, inclusive education programmes, and sports inclusion initiatives to persons with disabilities and children from socially vulnerable backgrounds across seven Argentine cities.
About
CILSA (Centro de Integración Libre y Solidario de Argentina) was founded on 14 May 1966 in Santa Fe, Argentina. Its mission is to promote the full inclusion of people with disabilities and children and adolescents in situations of social vulnerability. For nearly six decades it has been a leading voice for social inclusion in Argentina's interior.
What They Do
CILSA delivers orthopedic services and mobility equipment that facilitate independence; runs inclusive sports and recreational programmes; operates early childhood programmes for children with and without disabilities from low-income families; and advocates for inclusive education and professional training. Each year more than 1,000 children participate daily in CILSA programmes across Buenos Aires, Córdoba, La Plata, Mar del Plata, Mendoza, Rosario, and Santa Fe.
Who They Serve
CILSA primarily serves people with physical disabilities and children from marginalised backgrounds, with an emphasis on breaking down access barriers in education and employment. The organisation operates a national corporate engagement programme to build awareness about inclusive hiring and disability-positive workplace culture.
