Consejo Nacional para la Atención de las Personas con Discapacidad(CONADI)
CONADI is Guatemala's national coordinating body for disability policy, responsible for influencing public policy to ensure the human rights and fundamental freedoms of persons with disabilities are upheld. It was designated by the government to oversee implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
About
CONADI (Consejo Nacional para la Atención de las Personas con Discapacidad) is the leading state institution on disability in Guatemala, located in Guatemala City. It coordinates, advises, and drives general State policies to guarantee compliance with international and national disability rights frameworks, including the CRPD.
What They Do
CONADI formulates and monitors public disability policy, promotes universal accessibility, publishes statistical data on disability in Guatemala, produces accessible legal and informational resources in multiple formats, and leads national campaigns on inclusive risk management and employment. In 2024, CONADI published an updated Universal Accessibility Manual and a Biopsychosocial Certification Law.

CONADI serves Guatemalans with all types of disabilities, as well as public institutions, NGOs, and private entities that must comply with national accessibility and non-discrimination standards.
