Consejo Nacional de Discapacidad(CONADIS)
CONADIS is the autonomous national government institution responsible for establishing and coordinating disability policy in the Dominican Republic, guaranteeing equal rights and eliminating discrimination against persons with disabilities. It oversees disability certification, workforce inclusion programmes, assistive-device tax exemptions, and recently produced the country's first Official Dictionary of Dominican Sign Language.

The Consejo Nacional de Discapacidad (CONADIS) is an autonomous, decentralised government institution with its own legal personality, administrative, financial, and technical autonomy, operating under the Office of the Presidency of the Dominican Republic. Its mission is to guarantee equal rights, equal opportunities, and the elimination of all forms of discrimination toward persons with disabilities.
What They Do
CONADIS issues disability certifications, facilitates import tax exemptions for assistive devices, provides legal support for disability declarations, and coordinates the 'RD Incluye' Workforce Inclusion certification programme. In 2023 it produced the Official Dictionary of Dominican Sign Language and is actively co-constructing the National Disability Plan 2025–2035 with the participation of the disability community.

The Council serves all persons with disabilities in the Dominican Republic, connecting individuals with legal protections, assistive technology pathways, employment resources, and policy participation regardless of disability type or severity.
