Consejo Nacional de Discapacidad(CONADIS)
An autonomous institution attached to the Presidency of the Dominican Republic, CONADIS establishes and coordinates national disability policy and works to guarantee equal rights and eliminate discrimination against persons with disabilities. It issues official disability certifications, provides legal support, and administers import-tax exemptions for assistive devices.
About
CONADIS (Consejo Nacional de Discapacidad) is the Dominican Republic's autonomous national disability council, attached to the Office of the Presidency. With administrative, financial, and technical autonomy, it serves as the lead state body for formulating and executing disability policy in line with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
