Consejo Nacional para la Inclusión de las Personas con Discapacidad(CONAIPD)

CONAIPD is El Salvador's governing body for disability inclusion, responsible since 1993 for developing national disability policy, registering disability organisations, and providing legal advice to ensure the rights of persons with disabilities are fulfilled. The Consejo Nacional para la Inclusión de las Personas con Discapacidad (CONAIPD) has operated since 1993, originally as CONAIPD and now with a mandate explicitly centred on inclusion. Based in Antiguo Cuscatlán, La Libertad, it is the lead government body for disability policy and rights fulfilment in El Salvador.

CONAIPD develops the National Policy for the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities, registers disability organisations and foundations, provides legal advice and training for institutions, and coordinates national and international commitments on disability rights.
