Disability Law Colorado
Colorado's federally designated Protection and Advocacy system, providing free legal representation and advocacy to Coloradans with disabilities since 1976. Formerly known as The Legal Center for People with Disabilities and Older People, the organization also serves as Colorado's Long-Term Care Ombudsman.

Disability Law Colorado — formerly The Legal Center for People with Disabilities and Older People — has protected the rights of Coloradans of all ages since 1976. As Colorado's federally mandated Protection and Advocacy (P&A) agency, it is part of the nation's largest network of legally based disability rights advocacy organizations.
What They Do
Disability Law Colorado provides free or low-cost legal services to people with disabilities whose civil rights have been violated, covering housing discrimination, service animals, employment, abuse and neglect, seclusion and restraint, and special education. Programs also address assistive technology access, mental illness, voting rights, developmental disabilities, and individual rights under the ADA.

Disability Law Colorado serves Coloradans of all ages with any type of disability, including people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health conditions, physical disabilities, and older adults residing in long-term care facilities throughout the state.
