Disability Rights New York is New York State's designated Protection and Advocacy (P&A) agency, part of the federally mandated national P&A system. Operating from offices in Albany, Brooklyn, and Rochester, DRNY provides free legal and advocacy services with statewide coverage across all disability types.
What They Do
DRNY provides legal representation, investigation of abuse and neglect, advocacy support, and information and referral services. Focus areas include special education rights, housing discrimination, healthcare access, employment, community integration, and the rights of people in institutional settings.
