Disability Rights North Carolina is the federally designated Protection and Advocacy (P&A) agency for North Carolina, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Raleigh. With a team of attorneys, advocates, paralegals, and support staff, DRNC provides the most comprehensive free disability legal and advocacy services in the state.

What They Do

DRNC provides free legal representation and advocacy addressing special education, housing, healthcare, mental health treatment, community access and supports, voting rights, and monitoring and investigating abuse and neglect in facilities. The organisation also hosts an annual Disability Advocacy Conference to build the statewide community of advocates.
