About
Formed in 2012 from the merger of Disability Alliance, RADAR, and the National Centre for Independent Living, Disability Rights UK is the UK's foremost Disabled People's Organisation (DPO). As an organisation led by, run by, and working entirely for disabled people, it brings lived experience to the heart of every campaign and service.
What They Do
DR UK publishes the most comprehensive welfare rights and benefits guides available to disabled people in the UK, operates an information helpline, and supports a network of Disabled People's Organisations across all four nations. It campaigns directly with Parliament on social security, housing, employment, and independent living, and produces in-depth policy analysis to challenge government decisions that disadvantage disabled people.
Who They Serve
Disabled people of all ages and impairment types across the United Kingdom, particularly those navigating the social security system, employment barriers, or challenges to living independently in the community.
