Organization
Disability Rights UK(DR UK)
Disability Rights UK is the UK's leading disabled people's organisation, led by, run by, and working for disabled people. It campaigns for rights, benefits, employment and policy change across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
About
Disability Rights UK (DR UK) was established in 2012 through the merger of several disability organisations including RADAR, NCIL, and DRC. Operating from Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, London, it embodies the disability movement's principle of "nothing about us without us."
What They Do
DR UK publishes extensive guides on the UK benefits system and welfare rights, runs campaigns on legal and policy issues, and trains disabled people to be self-advocates. They convene coalitions, publish accessible policy research, and maintain a national network of disabled people's organisations.
Who They Serve
Disabled people across the UK — particularly those navigating the benefits system, employment, housing, and social care — as well as DPOs, public bodies, and government seeking evidence-based disability policy input.
