About
Eesti Puuetega Inimeste Koda (EPIK), the Estonian Chamber of Disabled People, was founded on 26 February 1993 in Tallinn. It comprises 16 county boards of disabled people and 32 national disability-specific unions and associations, representing about 285 organisations in total. EPIK is Estonia's representative body within the European Disability Forum (EDF).
What They Do
EPIK undertakes legislative advocacy, provides free legal consultations to people with moderate, severe, or profound disabilities on work-ability assessments and social benefits, advises on accessibility in public spaces, and coordinates national disability policy positions. It connects member organisations and amplifies their shared voice before government and parliament.
