About
The Fédération Guinéenne pour la Promotion des Associations des Personnes Handicapées (FEGUIPAH) is Guinea's national federation for disability organisations, founded in 1992. Based in Conakry's Kaloum commune, FEGUIPAH coordinates 59 member associations through 12 regional offices spanning Guinea's administrative prefectures.
What They Do
FEGUIPAH supports the Guinean government in designing and implementing national policies for the protection and promotion of rights of persons with disabilities. In 2023, FEGUIPAH launched the national component of the "Equal World" SDG campaign to spotlight delays in achieving disability-related sustainable development goals. The federation regularly organises advocacy workshops with government, DPOs, and international partners, and has trained over 330 government officials on disability rights through its guides on the CRPD and disability-inclusive electoral processes.
Who They Serve
FEGUIPAH serves people with all types of disabilities across Guinea, working with individuals, families, and organisations. Through its 59 member associations and 12 regional offices, the federation reaches persons with physical, visual, hearing, intellectual, and psychosocial disabilities in Conakry and throughout the country's prefectures.
