Federación Nacional de Organismos de Personas Con Discapacidad de Honduras(FENOPDIH)

FENOPDIH is the national federation of disabled persons' organisations in Honduras, representing 17 affiliated groups across 14 of the country's 18 departments since its founding in 2001. It advocates for human rights, equal opportunities, and the full inclusion of persons with disabilities at all levels of Honduran society.

About

FENOPDIH was created on 9 June 2001 as a non-political, autonomous civil organisation in response to the need for a unified disability movement in Honduras. It holds legal status N° 1365-2003 and is headquartered in the Colonia El Prado neighbourhood of Tegucigalpa.

What They Do

FENOPDIH strengthens its 17 member organisations through training, human rights monitoring, advocacy with government, and coordination of services for persons with disabilities. It participates in regional networks and works on issues including employment, education, rehabilitation, and legislative reform across 14 departments.
