Lithuanian Disability Forum(LNF)
The Lithuanian Disability Forum (LNF) is the largest disability umbrella organisation in Lithuania, uniting 15 member organisations that collectively represent approximately 300,000 persons with disabilities and their families. Founded in 2001, LNF monitors CRPD implementation and advocates for disability rights at national and regional levels.
About
Lietuvos Negalios Organizacijų Forumas (LNF) — the Lithuanian Disability Forum — was founded in 2001 with the mission of uniting organisations representing different types of disability to achieve systemic change in Lithuanian disability policy. LNF is headquartered in Vilnius and is a full member of the European Disability Forum (EDF).
What They Do
LNF monitors Lithuania's implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), submits parallel reports to international bodies, files complaints on rights violations, and participates in national policy consultations. The forum also conducts public education campaigns and trains member organisations in disability rights advocacy.
