Mississippi Coalition for Citizens with Disabilities(MSCCD)
Founded in 1989, MSCCD is a cross-disability, consumer-led coalition of Mississippians with disabilities and their families that works to advance legislative change, consumer control over services, and community inclusion. It operates a Parent Training and Information Centre and hosts peer-support groups statewide.

The Mississippi Coalition for Citizens with Disabilities (MSCCD) is a private, nonprofit, statewide cross-disability organisation founded in 1989 and headquartered in Jackson, Mississippi. MSCCD is led by and for Mississippians with disabilities and their families, bringing together individuals, families, and organisations to advocate for full community participation.
What They Do
MSCCD provides legislative and public policy advocacy, promotes consumer control over services, operates an Information and Referral service, and delivers training and technical assistance on the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. The coalition also operates the Mississippi Parent Training and Information (MSPTI) project, hosts the SAFE KIDS Campaign, and facilitates peer-support and self-help groups across the state.

MSCCD serves Mississippians with all types of disabilities and their families, with particular emphasis on families of children with disabilities seeking to navigate education, health, and community systems.
