Missouri Protection & Advocacy Services
Missouri Protection & Advocacy Services is the Governor-designated Protection and Advocacy system for Missouri, delivering nine federally funded programmes that protect the legal rights of Missourians with disabilities. An independent non-profit and member of the National Disability Rights Network, it provides legal-based advocacy on issues from healthcare and education to abuse, neglect, and access to community services.

Missouri Protection & Advocacy Services (Mo P&A) is the federally mandated and Governor-designated Protection and Advocacy (P&A) system for Missouri, operating as an independent non-profit to protect the rights of people with disabilities without conflict of interest. As a member of the National Disability Rights Network (NDRN), it is part of the nationwide system of P&A agencies established by Congress.
What They Do
Mo P&A delivers nine federally funded programmes covering rights education, individual advocacy, legal representation, investigation of abuse and neglect, and technical assistance. It works on issues spanning healthcare, education, employment, housing, guardianship, mental health, and access to community living for Missourians with disabilities across the state.

Mo P&A serves Missourians with any type of disability who are experiencing rights violations, discrimination, abuse, neglect, or barriers to services and community participation—regardless of age, disability type, or income.
